Corporate Info When Guam was just beginning to develop as the hub of trade, commerce and tourism in the Western Pacific, it took a wise man with vision to predict and respond to the changing needs of the world. Mr. Jackson Leibsle Baker founded J.L. Baker & Sons in January 1972. His foresight in developing Guam’s foremost delivery and shipping freight handling company has made a significant impact on the growth of Guam business. Considered by the industry as an air cargo pioneer in Guam and the Philippines, he first founded LBC Air Cargo Inc. Philippines in 1950, which became one of the largest air cargo companies branching out to multiple locations in the Archipelago of the Philippines. He was responsible for opening the Air Express International (AEI) branch office Manila in 1968, now a major air cargo forwarder in the Philippines. In 1969, he founded the first dedicated air cargo company in Guam namely Island Air Express. Upon the passing of Jackson L. Baker, the company was incorporated with its corporate office located at 131 J.L. Baker St., Harmon Industrial Park, Tamuning, Guam 96913. Baker International Inc. dba J.L. Baker & Sons was formed to provide an expedited and complete line of transportation services. In January 2007, we celebrated 35 years of reliable transportation service. We continue to provide the best possible service available. This is something we are very proud of. We also realize that this would not be possible without the customers’ support, our valued clients who have remained loyal customers for so long and the parallel efforts of our enthusiastic staff to make ends meet. We look forward to continuing these relationships and creating new ones in the future, thus pro founding the Baker’s legacy. [read more]
